In DC Comics' spring anthology, Legion of Bloom, we are treated to eight tales from various writers and artists, featuring iconic characters across the DC universe. Poison Ivy tries to lay low before Gotham, but reluctantly helps her co-workers at a small flower shop. Batman investigates a horrifying murder scene. Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes) gets involved in a situation in Florida. Flamebird tries to assemble a new "Titans West." Flash calls on the help of Swamp Thing to investigate a missing family. Captain Carrot is in over his head when his babies accidentally eat cosmic carrots. Wonder Woman has a frosti reunion, and finally we get a tale from the Kent farm from long ago.

A really strong anthology, featuring both new and old DC comics talent, including local writer Ashley Allen's Poison Ivy story! Paired with artist Issac Goodhart, Ashley's Ivy story is easily one of the best stories in the collection. The Batman story which follows it, by Zac Thompson and Hayden Sherman, was also really good. The Captain Carrot story is super adorable, and the cute artwork by Vitor Cafaggi fits the story very well. The final standout was the Flash and Swamp Thing story. Kenny Porter gives a great team up story, and Brian Level's artwork is fantastic, especially on Swamp Thing. Like the Batman story, the Swamp Thing story was nice and creepy and had super detailed artwork. A nice collection of stories, and with the Poison Ivy story, a chance to support a local writer!
